The hydrants and plants will complete the wash pad which will be operational for the 2015 season.

Rafael and Chrispin are planting some ornamental grasses at the intersection of 9 & 11 tees. More plants will be added next spring.

Work on 14 bunker

We are recontouring the bunker on hole #14 due to an irrigation leak that left the pipe too close to the bunker edge.

Sod work on bunkers

Bunkers are being prepared for new sod later this week.

New bed

A new bed is being prepared near 9 & 11 tees. The bed will  include some tall ornamental grass in order to screen the 11th tee and break up the view of the asphalt.

More progress has been made on the new equipment wash pad. Here the rain garden is formed and the pad is graded and stone applied.

Greens 1-7 will be completed today. We plan to do holes 11-16 tomorrow. The remaining holes may be done next Monday and Tuesday.

Hard fescue areas

Jose Luis is hand watering areas of neww seedlings in the hard fescue. These areas should be full next season.

New flower bed

We are adding a flower bed, (using existing plants from the course) above the pool area to soften the fence.

The crew is preparing a portion of the bentgrass nursery for seed. This nursery is used to repair any damage on greens, tees or fairways.

Stream cooridor enhancements

Sam, Emiliano and Bernardo are enhancing the riparian buffer along the stream on hole #14 with native perennials that will also be an excellent food source for Monarch butterflies and honey bees.

Deep tine aerating greens this week

We will be aerating greens with solid tines this week. Once aerified the green will be rolled and put back into play.

Scouting for weevils

Rafael is scouting for annual bluegrass weevil, a small insect that can cause big problems.

Green speed

Green speeds have been fluctuating through the month of July. We are aware of the issue and working to return to more consistent speeds within the next few weeks.

Last night's wind blew down this Linden tree along 12 fairway.

Drainage work

Rough enhancements

Our efforts to improve the rough around the fairways are very evident this time of year.
Seed is germinating and we are expecting good results.

Tree work

Arader Tree Service is cleaning the broken stubs off damaged trees and taking down any hanging branches.
Tree removals will be addressed over the winter.

5.5" of rain fell yesterday and last night.

The water level was above the bridges. As of Thursday morning things were looking pretty good.
The course will be closed for most if not the whole day.

The rough has been seeding 20" out from the fairways. In order to help the new seelings mature please keep carts in the fairways for the month of May.
